A view I see almost daily along the iconic Fairy Glen walk in the village I live in. The original was a painting I was asked to create for former President of Ireland Mary McAleese. It was such an honor presenting the painting to her and I’m excited to have the print available. She used to live in Rostrevor and so I wanted to present her with something that would be special to her and everyone who has visited our small village. The painting depicts not only one of the ancient oaks but also a hawthorn tree which in Ireland is also known as a fairy tree. The title, ‘A Walk with the Fairies’ is both a nod to the fairy tree as well as the path being known as the Fairy Glen. A beautiful pop of green for your room.
