THE GREEK ISLES

This extra large painting is inspired by a scene along the Fairy Glen in Rostrevor, somewhere I walk almost every day. This beautiful path follows along the Glen River and is absolutely magical. There’s many ancient trees along the path and one of my favorites is this one that sits over the river. The ground beneath it has completely eroded away and it hovers over the river. To me it is an image of resilience, a beautiful reminder.

This painting is for all the fellow green lovers and is bursting with color. From a distance it appears as a beautiful river scene but up close it’s full of energetic brushstrokes.

A complete statement piece that would add color and make an impact to any room. Perfect for above a sofa in the living room or on a statement wall.

That last bit of evening sun. I love the warm golden hue of the steps against the cool refreshing blue of the water. While on a sailing holiday in Greece we visited Ermioni and wandered around the cobblestone streets and swam in the refreshing turquoise water. Whether it’s swimming or sailing, I love to be out on the water.

This painting is perfect for the hallway or a narrow wall to add a pop of color and relaxed vibe.

After a long day in the sun what is better than watching a beautiful sunset by the sea? While on a sailing holiday in Greece we spent a few days exploring Epidavros and hiked up to this spot to watch the sunset with a bottle of wine. I love the soft dusky colors, not just in the sky but also in the shrubs and hills. I wanted to capture that sense of calm and quiet. There’s a nice balance between soft muted colors and pastel sunset tones.

A complete statement piece that would add color and make an impact to any room. Perfect for a bedroom or living room.

A beachside restaurant with views overlooking a small secluded beach and the most turquoise water. Sipping white wine and eating some of the best seafood on the island, that’s Kiki’s Tavern in Mykonos. I love the light and shadow play of this painting. Looking out to sea while dining under the shade. I wanted to capture that relaxed feel of midday when on holiday.

A complete statement piece that would add color and make an impact to any room. Perfect for a kitchen or dining room.

In 2017 my husband James and I were on a sailing trip in Greece visiting some of the islands off Athens. We stopped in beautiful Poros and loved exploring the cobblestone streets and swimming in the sea. One afternoon when we were headed back to the sailboat we came across a fisherman untangling nets in his boat, with two hungry cats patiently waiting nearby for their lunch. This image made me smile so much and has stuck with me ever since. I’ve had so much fun finally painting it and I’ve painted it in a impressionistic style with a play on light and shadow. Up close there’s sweeping brush strokes and bursts of color and from a distance it’s a playful scene of two harbor cats waiting for their lunch.
