One of my favorite places to visit is Slieve League in Donegal. I have been to the cliffs several times and every time I go they are so different. When you’re painting them, you really get a sense of their sheer height and size. When you see a boat below or a tiny person standing along the ridge, you truly appreciate how massive and impressive they are. Depending on the time of year the colors can be so wildly different. From vibrant greens in the early spring, to deep purples in the late summer they are wonderfully colorful. And just when you don’t think they could be anymore special, the light hits them just so. Some days you get a bit of cloud cover and other days they are gleaming in the full sun. They are really spectacular!
