My favorite viewpoint in the north of Ireland! Ballynagelty also known as Kodak Corner is luckily right on our doorstep and one of my favorite places to go up and paint. This is the painting I did on location. I love the warm/cool and shadows created in the early morning. The trees in the forground make it feel like you are just peaking out at the view of Carlingford Lough and Slieve Foy.
This painting was done en plein air. One of my favorite things in the world is to be out in nature, set up with my easel and paints and my dog by my side. I find so much inspiration painting on location. It evokes all of your senses and gives you a true sense of color and place.
